Ekaterina Milkina (flute)

I am Milkina Ekaterina, was born in Moscow in 1975. I began my music study when I was 4 with my mother-pianist. From 6 I was playing flute in music school and from 1982 to 1993 was a student of Moscow Special Music School named Gnesins. From 1993 to 1998 I was a student of Moscow State Conservatoire named Tchaikovsky (class proff. Meritous Art Worker Jury Doljikov). From 1998 to 2001 I was a postgraduate study as a assistant of professor, Doctor of Music Valery Berezin. I was student of remarkable musicians and teachers: Igor Khudoley, Alexander Skanavy, Alexander Bahchiev, Vladimir Sokolov; was a participant of masterclasses with Karen Levine and Andras Adorjan (Germany).
My first tourne was in 1998. I had performance in Russia, Italy, France, United States, United Kingdom, China, Belorussia, Kazachstan, Azerbaidjan.
In 1990 I was a winner of 1st Soviet Union Competition of Young musicians (II prize) and in 1992 was a Diplomant of International Competition УYouthful Assembly of ArtsФ, was a participant of International festivals and masterclasses. In 1996 I began my orchestra carrier as a stager of Cinema Orchestra, from 1997 to 2001 I was a principal flutist of УRussian PhilarmoniaФ Orchestra under Alexander Vedernikov conductor, I was invited to tourne with Russian National Orchestra under Mikhail Pletnev conductor, was a participant of Russian-American International Symphony Orchestra under Dmitry Liss conductor.
As a soloist I was playing with Moscow Chamber Orchestra under Igor Zhukov conductor and with Moscow Conservatoire orchestra under Leonid Nikolaev conductor.
This summer I was participant of Zurich International Music Academy with Marina Piccinini and УPrague-Vienna-BudapestФ Summer Academy with Jiri Valek. On this Academy I was a winner the Antonin Reiha, Gottfrid von Einem, Bella Bartok special prizes.
In present time I play many music as a chamber musician and a soloist. I was recorded my first CD with 6 Sonates by J.S. Bach, which appeared in 2003. In present time I record my second CD with music by A.Reicha, B. Martinu, J. Feld.
